Course Information

It is essential for any wearer of tight fitting RPE Respiratory Protective Equipment to ensure that it is both adequate and suitable. RPE should be selected correctly for the task and all users must be trained in the correct use of the equipment. Reusable RPE should also be inspected and maintained at required intervals. In the case of tight fitting respirators wearers should have a Face Fit Test carried out to ensure its safe use and operation and so that the fitted equipment does not allow for any foreign particles or droplets to enter the sterile environment.

Who Should Attend?

This course is aimed at anyone who, through the course of their employment, is required to wear face masks or respiratory protection either to protect themselves or those who they come in contact with. This includes both users wearers of RPE and their supervisors and managers who are required to have an in depth knowledge of Face Fit Testing using Qualitative Fit Test Methods and common respiratory hazards in the workplace. Candidates must be clean shaven. PPE should be supplied in the style required for job role, this includes the face mask to be tested wearing. Candidates should not eat, drink or smoke 30 mins prior to test and all are required to have a sense of smell.

May 2020 our Face fit training testing services are in high demand. We are currently unable to carry out training at our premises but can conduct group sessions on a one to one basis at client premises. We also have remote learning options available. If you are contacting us from an NHS Trust Hospital, NHS Dental or Private Dental Practice then please ensure you quote either your trust number and, in the case of dental practices, the delegate GDC numbers. Face fit testing kits are available to purchase, however currently they are in short supply.

The price per person is always comparible if not better than joining one of our open course events and you will benefit from the added convenience of not only selecting the date and venue, but we'll also tailor certain elements of the training to your specific application..

In addition to that, if your delegate numbers are low and you don't have an urgent need to have the training in the next few weeks, then talk to us about setting up an open event near to you on a date of your choosing. The course will definitely go ahead as scheduled and you won't need to travel. Minimum 2 delegates.
