Who Should Attend?

This course is aimed at anyone who, through the course of their employment, is required to wear face masks or respiratory protection either to protect themselves or those who they come in contact with. This includes both users wearers of RPE and their supervisors and managers who are required to have an in depth knowledge of Face Fit Testing using Qualitative Fit Test Methods and common respiratory hazards in the workplace. Candidates must be clean shaven. PPE should be supplied in the style required for job role, this includes the face mask to be tested wearing. Candidates should not eat, drink or smoke 30 mins prior to test and all are required to have a sense of smell.

Face Fit Testing Training Course AgendaThe Face Fit Testing training course will provide an introduction to the requirements of face fit testing, including the importance of proper respiratory protective equipment RPE selection and correct usage. Participants will also learn about the smell test and how to properly record and dispose of RPE. ##$$##The course will include a demonstration of qualitative and/or quantitative techniques for face fit testing. This will give participants a thorough understanding of the different methods used to ensure proper fit and protection. ##$$##After the demonstration, participants will have the opportunity to undergo a face fit test and practical exam. This will allow them to put their knowledge into practice and ensure they are able to properly conduct face fit testing in the future. ##$$##By the end of the course, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of face fit testing and be able to confidently and accurately conduct tests in accordance with industry standards and regulations. This training is essential for anyone working in environments where respiratory protection is required, ensuring the safety and well-being of both themselves and those around them. ##$$##.

Training Venue

We are on the first floor of the building, there is a lift to get up to the first floor.. Drink will be provided after test is completed due to the strict regulations of the face fit test.

Accreditation

Successful candidates who attend and pass the Face Fit Testing training course will receive a temporary certificate of attendance from Xys. More Information

May 2020 our Face fit training testing services are in high demand. We are currently unable to carry out training at our premises but can conduct group sessions on a one to one basis at client premises. We also have remote learning options available. If you are contacting us from an NHS Trust Hospital, NHS Dental or Private Dental Practice then please ensure you quote either your trust number and, in the case of dental practices, the delegate GDC numbers. Face fit testing kits are available to purchase, however currently they are in short supply.

In addition to that, if your delegate numbers are low and you don't have an urgent need to have the training in the next few weeks, then talk to us about setting up an open event near to you on a date of your choosing.
