Joining Instructions

Specific CITB Health and Safety Awareness joining instructions will be supplied to you (if appropriate) once your booking is confirmed. If, once confirmation has been received, you are in anyway unsure of what prerequisites or items you need to bring or provide, then your dedicated training manager or the trainer conducting your course will be able to confirm this with you. Contact numbers and ways to get in touch will be provided.

Course Agenda

• Understand the legal responsibilities within their role • Be aware of safe manual handling practice • Have the ability to spot hazards and deal with them accordingly • Understand the fire safety regulations on site • Be able to implement control measures when hazards are recognised • Be aware of the accident reporting system and how/when to use it • Be aware of the hazards of working at heights.

Accreditation

The CITB Health and Safety Awareness training course provides delegates with the necessary knowledge and skills to promote a safe and healthy working environment.

Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will receive a CITB Health & Safety Awareness award, which is a widely recognised accreditation in the construction industry.

This award demonstrates that the delegate has a good understanding of health and safety regulations and can effectively implement them in their workplace.

At the end of the one day course their is a written test.. The written test can be failed if the delegate achieves less the 78% on the test
